Surbhi Agarwal is a Mussoorie based History and Art researcher. She studied Interior Designing following which she worked with well known Architects in Delhi and Dehradun. But then moved on to working in the Family business of Art and Antiques. Hailing from one of the oldest Families of Mussoorie, the involvement in History, Aesthetics, Curation, Art and Conservation was obvious.

In 2013 she started Mussoorie Heritage Centre, a social enterprise focused on the research, archival, education, exhibition, documentation and conservation work in Mussoorie and the adjoining region. She gives talks on various Historical aspects of Mussoorie and conducts Heritage walks in Mussoorie and around.She has researched and curated several exhibitions on the History of Mussoorie. At Mussoorie Heritage Centre she supports several NGO’s and SHG’s of Uttarakhand state by giving them a market platform and helping in craft, research and product development.
2020 she started VR Art Space, an Art Gallery, promoting local talent and nurturing creative intellect. A special focus is being laid on the Garhwal Miniature School and Art Outreach programmes.
She has been curating and organizing the Landour Lecture Series for over 13 years. It is a social community platform for interaction and dialogue between the community and the passer by talent.
She is a board member of the KEEN Committee and strongly believes that for a Clean and Environment conscious Mussoorie, we need to work with the local people in nurturing awareness through education, sustainable practices, thought process building etc. She believes that each child should be nurtured as a future responsible citizen that should adhere to his/her responsibility towards an Environment Conscious tomorrow.
